Really neat ideas and how-tos to build several types of antennas. Seems to focus mainly on HF. It wouldn't hurt to know a little about building simple circuits if you are going to get this book... several of the designs are far more than "throw a wire in a tree and attach it to your radio." I would highly recommend this book to any new amateur radio operator that may be little low on cash and needs a good set of antennas.Product details

Used as a source for an antenna class at our ham radio club. Well done.
Nice book, I like it. It specializes in antennas that are considered portable for in the field kind of operations, such as backpacking, or mobile uses. So it is handy and can give you some good ideas for antennas to use for these purposes.
I gave this book 5 stars because it's a great book to have with great portable antenna ideas. Many of the antenna articles were previously available in past QST magazines. That was fine with me. However, I noted that unlike identical articles in the book, "More QRP Power", (ARRL, 2006), there are no references of the original publication of the article. Otherwise a great book.
